Creating an Artful Planter Class
March 13 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm| $25.00
This 2-hour class will teach you the basics of creating your own plant sculpture and you will leave with your own masterpiece! You will need to bring your own pot (15-24” wide by 20-28” deep) and spiller, thriller and filler plants of your choosing. A tallish plant for the thriller (suggestions: grasses, agave, aloe, small dwarf boxwood). A spiller: a plant that will drapes over the edges of the pot (ex: sweet potato vine, draping succulents like “donkey’s tail”, Nasturtium and Trailing begonia). And 3-6 smaller “filler” plants that go between the tall plant and the spiller plant. Call Joy at 407-376-1587 once you register, if you have questions
Joy will be providing, besides potting soil: gravel or broken shards for the bottom of the pot, mycorrhizal powder for the roots, and an example “Potted Sculpture”.
