Growth Through the Fragments
Nehrling Gardens, February, 13th 2020 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Inspired by Kintsugi, this 2-hour workshop will illustrate the value in the process of mending and repairing something that is broken. What participants will learn and experience is that the process of repairing a broken object, can result in a new object that is something more unique, beautiful and resilient than before.
The workshop session will combine instruction in the art and life lessons derived from Kintsugi and include creative hands on studio time. The plant material we will feature is the houseplant, Calathea, which is a symbol of a new beginnings.
