SPECIAL OPEN DAY EVENT: PLANTS TO ATTRACT BUTTERFLIES & HUMMINGBIRDS – PLANT SALE & CLASSES
Alan Shapiro of Grandiflora Nursery in Gainesville, a noted expert in native plants, will be bringing a selection of plants for sale to benefit Nehrling Gardens. Please see below for a sample of the plants that will be available.
Alan will also be giving two talks on gardening for butterflies and hummingbirds during the sale. Please see below for his bio.
- Date: Saturday, July 8 at Nehrling Gardens
- 9:00 – 1:00 Plant Sale (Gardens remain open until 3:00 PM)
- 10:00 AM & 12 noon: Talks by Alan Shapiro: Gardening to Attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds.
PLANTS at GRANDIFLORA SALE
- The focus will be on butterfly and hummingbird attracting plants and native plants, and will include some unusual varieties.
- Most plants will be in 1 gallon pots and retail for $4 – $5, proceeds to benefit Nehrling Gardens.
