Starburst Bush

  • Description: Small to medium-sized shrub with showy tubular flowers in mid-winter and early spring. Grows up to 15 feet tall. Leaves are simple, ovate to oblong shaped, and green with purple. The flowers appear in large clusters and are white tipped and pink below.
  • Environment: Fast grower for sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Prefers tropical climate and drought tolerant. Flowering period will be slower in shade and requires minimal pruning to be shaped. Hummingbirds and butterflies love the flowers for their nectar.
  • Additional Information: Flower is named after its resemblance with shooting white stars.
