Description: A highly variable, deciduous, sumer-growing, tropical vine grown from a tuberous rootstock. Grows up to 6 feet high and 3 feet wide. The leaves alternate and are simple, strap-like, with a tendril-like tip. The flowers grow on long stalks and are 6-parted and yellow or red. The fruit is fleshy and oblong with 3-valved capsules.
