Event Information
Did you know that Nehrling Gardens in Gotha is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and that the founder, Dr. Henry Nehrling, is widely credited as being the father of Florida’s plant industry, especially the beautiful caladiums that have become synonymous with our state?
Today, a group of dedicated volunteers is working to restore Dr. Nehrling’s garden as a place of beauty, respite, and conservation. Organized as a non-profit entity, Nehrling Gardens is open to the public. We support the garden by raising funds for programs, upkeep, and maintenance. One way we do that is by sponsoring fund-raising events such as our upcoming Spring Festival at the Garden.
The day will include Florida-friendly plants for sale, caladiums and caladium bulbs, plein air artists, vendors featuring garden products, raffles, food, live entertainment, and children’s activities designed to encourage the next generation of conservationists and gardeners.
